The L.L.ANN (Lim Lab for Affective Neuroscience and Neuroeconomics: PI: Seung-Lark Lim) at the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) is looking for a post-doc researcher.
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship in NIH-funded functional neuroimaging studies. Our research uses a combination of fMRI, EEG/ERP, psychophysiology, eye-tracking, and behavioral methods to investigate the computational and neural bases of decision-making and affective-regulation in normal and clinical populations (e.g., smoking behavior, obesity, anxiety, etc.).
Competitive candidates will have a Ph.D. in a field relevant to cognitive neuroscience, and a strong research background in functional neuroimaging methods including in-depth experience with fMRI data analysis (e.g., AFNI, SPM), or EEG data analysis (e.g.,EEGLAB). Advanced programming skills are desirable (e.g., MATLAB, Python). The individual will conduct postdoctoral-level research in all aspects of research including data collection, analysis, grant writing, Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol submissions, preparing and publishing scientific manuscripts, and other research duties as assigned.
