Description: The Laboratory for Parasitology is looking for a post-doctoral scientist to work on a EU Horizon2020 funded project entitled ‘Vaccines for animal parasites’. The overal aim of this project is the production of safe and efficient vaccines as an alternative for anthelmintic drugs or as a complementary tool in the control of the most important parasite infections of livestock. The task of the selected candidate will be to characterize the vaccine induced immune responses and unravel the effector mechanisms that lead to protection against re-infection. In addition to the research, the candidate will have the opportunity to co-supervise a team of junior scientists and technicians.
Profile: the successful candidate will have obtained or submitted her/his PhD and will have a proven track record of high-quality research and experience in innate and adaptive immunity.
