The College is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant or Research Officer within the Centre for Innovative Ageing
Under the supervision of Professor Vanessa Burholt, the post-holder will work on a project that aims to address the disconnection and marginalisation of people with dementia and explore how the vision for dementia supportive communities might benefit from creative activities. The successful candidate will collate data on the participatory artists, professionals working in the places that the intervention has been developed and their friends on their perceptions of the effectiveness of the intervention and their attitudes towards people with dementia.
Candidates for either position must provide evidence of advanced quantitative skills that can be applied to social network analysis (SNA) (visualisation and analytics of network relationships), have excellent IT skills to include experience with a range of statistical packages including SPSS and specialist Social Network Analysis (SNA) software (e.g. UCINET) together with good interpersonal skills, teamwork and communication (including oral dissemination of project results)
The post is fixed term until 30th April 2016
