Several post-doctoral positions are available immediately in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, Texas (UT Health Northeast) in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis with a specific focus on tissue factor and EPCR biology (for further information on the institute and the research program, visit our website, http://www.uthct.edu/research/invrao.asp). The potential candidates should have Ph.D degree in one of the following fields: Biology/Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry.
The applicants should have a strong background in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and demonstrable experience using modern biochemical, cellular and molecular techniques. Research experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: blood coagulation, phospholipid and cholesterol metabolism, receptor biology, and signal transduction. Experience in one or more of the following techniques is highly desirable: physico/biochemical methods for protein characterization, phospholipid analysis, thin layer chromatography and confocal microscopy. Experience in mouse models and immunohistochemistry are also desirable but not essential.
Salary will be based on the qualification and experience, and is negotiable.
