An early career postdoctoral position is available for 2 years starting in March 2015 at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, in the team of Miria Ricchetti, Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to conduct research on the molecular mechanisms responsible for premature ageing in the human disease Cockayne syndrome. The project relies on novel findings that link mitochondrial biology to the progeroid phenotype. The lab works on mitochondria, oxidative stress, and DNA double-strand break repair in adult stem cells and in patient cells.
The candidate should have a recently completed Ph.D. degree in cellular or molecular biology and first-author publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Experience in cellular biology, molecular biology, and imaging is required. Experience with mitochondria is highly recommended.
The candidate should be highly committed and autonomous, should master innovative approaches, act as problem-solver, and have team spirit. Candidates must also be proficient in oral and written English.
Application Procedure: Submit your updated CV, brief description of scientific accomplishments and research interests, and have three references on your behalf sent to Miria Ricchetti (firstname.lastname@example.org)
