We are seeking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to integrate a team of three/four postdoctoral researchers, one technician/lab manager and one/two students. The laboratory is equipped with all the basic set up for cell culture, molecular biology, small- and medium-scale protein purification and analysis, fluorescence-based quantitative immunoblot analysis, qPCR, proteomics, flow cytometry analysis software.
The position is offered to develop a research aimed to further understand the function, structure and mechanism action of THEMIS, a protein discovered a few years ago by Professor Acuto’s team.
Applicants should have: a PhD or equivalent in biochemistry or biology; substantial knowledge in immunology, cellular biology and protein biochemistry; good knowledge and proved laboratory experience in protein biochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry; basic knowledge of bioinformatics and biostatistics; significant experience in immunofluorescence-based imaging (either one of confocal, TIRF, structured illumination); a problem-solving attitude; keenness to cooperate with members of the laboratory, the Central Proteomics and the Micron Imaging facilities; a keenness to learn basic and/or advanced skills in proteomics, bioinformatics and structural biology.http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AKH937/postdoctoral-research-assistant-in-t-cell-signalling/
