Responsibilities: 1.Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic diseases andinjuries of infants and children into young adulthood in both theinpatient and outpatient setting. 2.Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data throughinterviews. 3.Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinicallaboratory tests required. Interprets test results and evaluatesexamination findings. 4.Conducts ward rounds and prescribes therapy. 5.Administers and prescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, andcompresses. 6.Performs minor surgical procedures. 7.Determines need for and assists in specialized medical care andtreatment. 8.May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency 9.Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee 10.Works on quality improvement activities within the department incollaboration with other pediatricians and Department Chairperson 11.Will work closely with the Department Chairperson in supportingdepartmental goals 12.May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation withDepartment Chairperson.
Requirements: 1.Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatrics 2.Doctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school ofmedicine 3.Completion of residency training in Pediatrics at a hospital andprogram acceptable to the Departmental Chairperson and Chief MedicalOfficer. 4.Minimum 3-5 years experience post-residency in the clinical arenapreferred 5.Fluency in English Required 6.Fluency in Mandarin a preferred 7.Fluency in German and/or French a plus. 8.Superior diagnostic skills
