POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of interpretation and translation services to assistnon-English & Chinese speaking staffs and visitors in the CarebridgeSystem.
ESSENTIAL TASKS: Participate as a neutral party in the role as conduit of informationthat must flow between Carebridge staffs and the International orDomestic visitors. Ensure that information is accurately communicated. Provide interpreter services, and convey the exact message as opposed tosummarizing the information in a way that is subjective. Maintain accurate daily records on all requests for service. Maintainaccurate and timely documentation within database. Notify Supervisor of any issues that may be problematic for visitors orCarebridge staffs. Participate in on call coverage to provide interpretation/translationservices during non-business hours and business hours as assigned. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Able to complete other tasks assigned by department manager. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Good knowledge of Medical English & Medical Chinese, with theability to write in complete sentences using appropriate words, correctgrammar, punctuation and spelling. Oral and written skills to convey ideas, facts, and informationeffectively and accurately. Ability to work as an effective member of a dedicated team. Ability towork in a fast paced environment with a variety of service needs. Accurate and appropriate interpretation skills at all times. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Well-organized and self-directed. Effective typing and computer skills. Great organization and communication skills in both Chinese and English.
DECISION-MAKING and ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Requires decision-making. Requires critical thinking and essential analytical skill EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE: Proficient in computer programs utilized which include but not limitedto Windows, MS Office. POSITIONS SUPERVISED: NONE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree. Experience in healthcare field preferred.
