Our laboratory seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join our team working on the biochemical and structural characterization of essential membrane proteins complexes (Sec-dependent protein translocation system, ABC sugar transporter, nutrient outer membrane porins). These membrane systems are critical to bacterial pathogenesis and infectious diseases. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with biochemists and structuralists to understand the molecular mechanism of membrane transport. A prior expertise in structural biology and biophysical techniques (electron spectroscopy, crystallography, FRET and other binding assays, …) will be advantageous.
The laboratory is located in a Life Science Institute http://www.lsi.ubc.ca/, a multi-disciplinary environment with state-of-the-art equipment. Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, motivation letter, names and contact information for three referees to Dr. Franck Duong (FDuong@mail.ubc.ca). …
