The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.SUBHASH C CHAUHAN. Dr. Chauhan/Jaggi Lab has opening for a postdoctoral fellow. Applicant is expected to have a strong background in cell and molecular biology with an interest in cancer research. Applicant should have evident hand experience on basic cell and molecular biology techniques and on siRNA, miRNA technologies. The applicant should be self-motivated, able to design and conduct experiments, prepare and present their work at meetings, and write scientific manuscripts. Should have knowledge of hazards of laboratory activities and related safety practices, skill in setting up, care and use of laboratory equipment, and ability to develop and assist with development of new and improved methodology. Prior experience with in vivo studies and in the area of cancer therapy/inflammation with live animals or experience in mouse models related to cancer is a plus.
