Would you like to work on cutting edge research that is making a real difference in cancer prevention? An opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to support the research activities of Professor Wendy Atkin in the Cancer Screening and Prevention Research Group (CSPRG) based at the St Mary’s Campus of Imperial College London, located in Paddington.
You will work within an internationally-renowned multidisciplinary group undertaking research into the diagnosis and prevention of colorectal cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the developed world. Joining a friendly, highly motivated team, you will play a vital role supporting research across a portfolio of clinical research projects funded by the UK Government, charities and the private sector.
You will assist the team with all stages of the projects, including planning, data collection, and preparing results for reports and publication. Experience of working in a scientific or medical research setting and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and previous experience of clinical data collection is desirable. A BSc degree or equivalent in a science or health related subject is essential.
This full time post is fixed-term until 31 December 2015.
