Job description:
Postdoctoral positions are available in the Department of Medicine, Section of Dermatology, at the University of Chicago. We seek highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to study the mechanisms of skin carcinogenesis caused by environmental exposures and to develop chemopreventive strategies. We are particularly interested in, but not limited to, alterations in signaling pathways and redox status involved in cell proliferation and apoptosis in cells and animal models.
Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the biological sciences. Demonstrated expertise in molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques is preferred. Experience with mammalian cell culture, microscopy, immunoassays, molecular biology and animal models is desirable. Highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a research team are encouraged to apply.
