Job Description:
Brief descriptionof project: Signaling by molecules derived from red blood cells in lung disease .
A research associate is sought to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research group investigating molecular mechanisms underlying signaling by RBC-derived mediators in the lung in health and disease, particularly in sickle cell disease. The successful applicant will focus on a project using murine models and translational approaches to investigate the regulation of blood flow by red blood cell-derived nitric oxide and ATP in healthy and sickle cell lungs. Candidates familiar with mouse physiology, molecular and cell biology, and analytical NO and protein biochemistry will be at an advantage, as will those with a track record of published research. The position is available immediately for an initial two year period. Salary commensurate with experience.
