A fully funded postdoctoral position is immediately available through Baylor College of Medicine at Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute (NRI), Houston, Texas, USA.
The work focuses on the in vivo neural network activities in transgenic mouse models, which might provide potentials to develop therapeutic interventions for developmental neurological diseases. We have a long standing interest in in vivo synaptic mechanisms underlying cognitive function in mice. The lab has been setup in the well equipped NRI supported by Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.
The successful candidate will also benefit from exceptional core facilities and a very collaborative environment.
Highly motivated individuals with a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a solid publication record and evidence of excellent skills in electrophysiology. Previous experience with mouse behavior, immunohistochemistry, stereotactic brain surgery, and/or MatLab is highly preferred.
