Salary
Salary will be based on ANR guidelines.
Description
The three year project has been recently funded by the National Research Agency (ANR) and will focus on two aspects of skin biology. It will dissect the influence of IGF1R signalling on epidermal homeostasis in terms of stem cell maintenance and response to injury, employing conditional knock-out mice models. It will also seek to determine the influence of dermal cells on epidermal homeostasis and niche maintenance in vivo using adoptive transfer experiments of mesenchymal stem cells. This second part will also be conducted in parallel in a translational randomized controlled trial.
The candidate is expected to be fluent in English (French is welcome but not required), highly motivated with experience in molecular and cell biology, and mouse models. Experience in skin biology is not essential. Strong publication record in high quality English language journals is welcomed.
Work will be carried out in a young, dynamic and highly motivated group of skin, endocrine and developmental biologists. The laboratory is in close interaction with the dermatology department of the university and benefits from numerous core facilities in the Saint-Antoine Research Center.
