Research group
Our laboratories are specialized in drug discovery and drug development with a focus on radioactive tracers for cancer imaging and treatment.
Description of the position
Candidates will work in a multidisciplinary environment in close relation to the Nuclear Medicine Clinic of the University Hospital Bern on the synthesis as well as the in-vitro and in-vivo studies to develop and validate various cancer targeting radiotracers.
Desired qualifications
We are looking for highly motivated applicants, who demonstrate initiative and creativity, and who enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment. Ideal candidates should have a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Radiochemistry or a related field. They have an interdisciplinary background in cancer cell biology, receptor targeting, drug delivery and radiolabeling and hands-on experience in in-vitro and in-vivo model systems, handling of radiation, polymer/organic synthesis and surface modification.
Conditions of contract
Form of employment: 100%, two year contract with an option of extension
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: According to the salary scale of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF)
