The DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma Research is looking for a full time Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct research on the role of the ubiquitin proteasome system during preservation of heart transplants.

The successful candidate will design, execute and trouble shoot experiments independently. This individual will perform routine laboratory procedures, including maintenance of records and calculation of results for publication, prepare manuscripts and present them at meetings. This position will supervise and train a research associate and medical students.

Minimum qualifications include a M.D. or Ph.D. in Biological or Physiological Sciences. Experience in microsurgical techniques and enzyme measurements are desirable. An appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
