An opportunity is available for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Warren Jack Pledger at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. This is a post-graduate entry-level position in which the individual is responsible for assisting with research activities as well as conducting independent research projects when appropriate under limited supervision.

A recent PhD in molecular biology, cell biology or related fields is require. is preferred. Ability in initiating, conducting, evaluating and reporting of research studies is essential. A strong desire and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment focusing the regulation of the cell cycle, apoptosis, and tumorgenesis is important. Extensive experience with tissue culture, flow cytometry, procedures on mice and standard molecular biologic methodologies are highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

The H. Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center is a modern facility on the University of South Florida Campus that conducts research on various aspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translational research. It is the third largest Cancer Center in the U.S. based on patient volume. Research environment includes state of the art modern core facilities and pathogen-free modern animal facilities, access to clinical material, etc.
