THE GRSTB 
The Research Group in Biomedical Sciences and Technologies (GRSTB for 
Groupe de recherche en sciences et technologies biomédicales), financed by the FRQS (Fonds de recherche du Québec � Santé), is a multidisciplinary group of researchers in the field of biomedical engineering. The GRSTB has 32 regular members on the campus of École Polytechnique and University of Montréal, and in the research centers of affiliated hospitals.

Description of the Scholarship 
The GRSTB announces its first Postdoctoral Scholarship for Excellence competition in order to recruit a highly skilled postdoctoral fellow in the field of biomedical sciences and technologies. The laureate will receive from the GRSTB an annual scholarship of CAD $50,000 for two years (a total of CAD $100,000). Also, a CAD $15,000 seed funding will be provided in the first year by the laureate supervisor. 

Eligibility 
The competition is open to all Canadian citizens and non-Canadians who have pursued training in an appropriate scientific discipline and obtained their doctorate (PhD) after December 31st, 2009, in a graduate school outside the province of Quebec.
