£29,793 to £33,207 per annum (Fixed term contract until 31 March 2014)
We are seeking a postdoctoral Research Fellow to undertake research for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and its network and to help grow our industrial client base in this field. The position supports our Centre for Environmental Risks and Futures and will play a key role in delivering CERF's research programme.
You will undertake applied research of direct relevance to policy makers, physical scientists, ecologists, economists, social scientists and others. With a strong grasp of multidiscipline environmental issues, you will employ new or existing tools to analyse system behaviour and communicate research outputs to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding. A clear, creative thinker of demonstrable numerate ability, you will be comfortable synthesising complex information and writing papers, proposals and reports.
A background in, or experience of fields allied to environment, food and rural affairs is required, alongside an awareness of the research needs for the green economy.
