Postdoctoral Position
in
Functional Stem Cell Biology
The LIFE & BRAIN Center on the University of Bonn Medical Campus isa newly established research and development facility comprisingacademic institutes and translational units with more than 130scientists. A key focus of LIFE & BRAIN is stem cell research. Weare particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms of humanembryonic stem cell differentiation into neural cells and theirapplication in artificial network formation, disease modeling and tissue repair.
Based on established expertise in mouse and human ES cell biology, animal models and functional analysis of neural cells we seek to expandour research activities towards functional stem cell biology.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow withexperience in electrophysiology and a strong interest in developing astem cell physiology-based research program.
The successful applicant will have access to establishedstate-of-the-art single cell and integrative neurophysiologicaltechniques and work in close interaction with stem cell biologists atthe Institute of Reconstructive Neurobiology (Prof. Oliver Brüstle) andstem cell physiologists at the Institute of Physiology I (Prof. Bernd Fleischmann).
