Description
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the area of InsectBiochemistry is available in the Department of Biochemistry, KansasState University (http://www.k-state.edu/bchem). The research focus willbe NIH-funded biochemical studies of multicopper oxidases in mosquitoes.Areas of research may include the role of multicopper oxidases indetoxification, sclerotization, pigmentation, wound healing or immunity.
A Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology or closelyrelated field, and experience in protein biochemistry are required.Experience with protein purification, enzyme kinetics, and insectbiochemistry are preferred.
