Postdoctoral Research Training Fellowship Chromosome Segregation Laboratory
Salary range £27,062 – £33,282
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the ChromosomeSegregation Laboratory headed by Dr. Andrew McAinsh, who studies thefunction of kinetochores – amazing multiprotein machines that linkchromosomes and spindle microtubules. (http://kinetochore.mcri.ac.uk)The successful applicant will follow up some of our exciting recentfindings on the functional organization of human kinetochores(McClelland et al, EMBO J. in press).
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic person capable ofindependent scientific work who has, or is expected to obtain, a PhD ina related subject area. A background in cell biology, biochemistry andcomputational biology would be desirable. This is a three yearfixed-term contract for a full-time Research Training Fellowship.
