Postdoctoral research positions are available within the Department ofObstetrics & Gynaecology, UBC, to work in the laboratory of Dr.Geoffrey Hammond at the Child & Family Research Institute(www.cfri.ca). This research group is funded by the Canadian Institutesof Health Research and specializes in reproductive endocrinology,molecular genetics and the role of steroid hormones in development anddisease processes.
Applicants must have a PhD with experience in molecular biologyincluding methods of defining transcriptional control mechanisms, thescreening and phenotyping of transgenic animal models, cell culturemethods for study of the hormonal control of gene expression, andbiochemical methods for characterizing steroid-binding proteins orsteroid receptors and their functions.
