Description
A POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION is available to study cellular andmolecular mechanisms of alpha 1 anti-trypsin in the development ofemphysema with focused projects ranging from post-translationalmodification, structural modifications, endocytosis, protein-proteininteraction, and signaling. The applicant will join the laboratory ofIrina Petrache, M.D. which is one of many highly interactive groupslocated in the Center for Immunobiology at the Indiana University Schoolof Medicine – www.cimb.medicine.iu.edu. Individuals should have strongbackgrounds in cellular and molecular biology and signaling mechanisms.Experience in mammalian tissue culture and animal models are desired butnot required. The position is NIH funded, and expertise in translationalstudies is highly desirable. Interested applicants should send a C.V.,and names of three references to:
