A postdoctoral position is available at the Computational Biology Branchof NCBI, NIH.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to study gene regulatorymechanisms in the human and other complex genomes. This work will relyon combining genome data mining, development of Bayesian inferencemethods, and population genetics data to work on:
* deciphering semantics of the gene regulatory code
* studying evolution of gene regulatory networks
* developing novel computational methods to predict tissue-specificregulatory elements
* identifying disease-causing mutations within noncoding DNA
Successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and less than 5 years ofpostdoctoral experience, preferably in computational genomics orpopulation genetics.
