Description
Postdoctoral fellowships are available for highly motivated individualsinterested in the molecular and cellular basis of cancer. Well-funded,multi-disciplinary laboratory is moving from MD Anderson to NorthwesternLurie Cancer Center June 1, 2008.
Experience in biochemistry (protein expression, enzyme kinetics),molecular biology (site-directed mutagenesis, microRNA), biophysics(FRET/FRAP), or cell biology (live cell imaging, cytoskeletalorganization) required. Individuals from chemical engineering orbioengineering background are encouraged to apply.
Must also be organized, possess excellent communication skills, andgenuinely curious about life sciences. Preference for those within 2years of receiving their doctorate.
Project 1. Cytoskeletal biology of vesicle trafficking ormembrane-protein interactions
Project 2. Cytoskeletal biology of cellular invasion
Project 3. Phosphorylation of transcription factors
Project 4. Stem cell biology of myelodysplastic cells
Project 5. Systems biology of cell fate or invasion
Project 6. Systems analysis for targeted therapy
Project 7. Functional characterization of cytoskeletal genes in zebrafish
Project 8. Regulation of Glut4 trafficking
