Job Description:
Flow cytometry (FCM) plays a critical role in basic research andclinical therapy in the areas of cancer, vaccine research, and detectingchanges in immune response, to name but a few areas of application.There are many exciting new technological developments that will makeFCM data more widely used. However, the increased complexity greatlyincreases the need for reliable statistical methods and accompanyingsoftware implementations for the analysis of these data. We are lookingfor a post-doctoral candidate with good statistical and computationalskills to work on problems that arise in the analysis of high-throughputFCM data including methods suitable for the automatic discovery andidentification of subpopulations of cells, and methods for thevisualization and quantitative comparison of FCM data from differentsamples or patients
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in statistics, computer science, biology, or related field ofstudy is required. Computer programming skills (R and C), stronganalytic skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsare essential. To be successful in this position, the postdoc must beable to work independently with large amounts of data.
Full time position. Salary higher than NIH scale + excellent benefits
