Description
A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Neuroendocrine Unit at theMassachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School to study themolecular mechanisms by which MEG3, a non-coding RNA suppresses humantumor growth and regulates differentiation and development ofneuroendocrine cells and tissues (Zhou et al. Activation of p53 by MEG3non-coding RNA. J Biol Chem. 2007; 282: 24731–42). We are employingbiochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and mouse knockout modelsto analyze the functions of MEG3. Applicants must have received theirPh.D. degree within the last 3 years and demonstrate a strong backgroundin cell/molecular biology.
