Description
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratoryof Dr. David Eagleman at Baylor College of Medicine(http://neuro.bcm.edu/eagleman). Projects in the Eagleman Lab combinemethods of experimental psychology, cognitive/computationalneuroscience, and psychophysics with functional neuroimaging toinvestigate human perception. The goals of the lab include anunderstanding of the perception of time, as well as conditions ofperception such as synesthesia. Positions provide an opportunity to takepart in highly innovative research programs within an interdisciplinarylaboratory. The neuroimaging facilities include 5 research-dedicated,head-only 3T Siemens Allegra scanners. There is opportunity forcollaboration with a wide community of experts in various fields withinthe department, Baylor College of Medicine, and neighboring institutionswithin the Texas Medical Center.
Minimum requirements for the position include 1) a PhD and background inneuroscience or a related field, along with an interest in perception,2) facility with computational methods, and 3) optionally, priorexperience with fMRI. A start date of summer/fall 2008 is preferable.
