Molecular mechanisms in cardiac development
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated postdoctoral researchfellow to join a group that is studying the genetic networks thatcontrol cardiac development (see Nature Genetics 2001, 2004;Genes&Dev 2008 in press).
The project will focus on the transcription factor Cited2 and its rolein heart development and left-right patterning. A key aim is to definethe Cited2 protein interaction network and understand how it isdisrupted by disease-causing mutations. The approaches used areinterdisciplinary (see http://www.well.ox.ac.uk/bhattacharya ),combining molecular genetics, proteomics, developmental biology andnovel imaging approaches. The project is funded by a Wellcome TrustProgram Grant for 5 years.
