Description
The Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago(UIC) seeks applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in its Divisionof Pathology Research.
This new Division has been designed to integrate population andlaboratory science, with a strong emphasis on cancer prevention. Ongoingprojects focus on development and validation of tissue-based biomarkersin cancer prevention research, and on chemoprevention trials. Digitalimage analysis is a major priority; prior experience or relevanttraining preferable. Cancer sites of interest currently includeprostate, liver and breast.
Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent and completed residencytraining in surgical pathology. Successful candidate will join anenergetic multi-disciplinary team that includes other physicians,biostatisticians, computer specialists and bioengineers.
