Description
Job description
Our research group has a strong track record both in applications ofcamelid-derived single-domain antibody fragments (nanobodies) and inmolecular and functional characterization of myeloid cells such asmacrophages. In the context of a newly funded collaborative project, wewill be combining these two types of expertise to analyze applicationsof nanobodies for in vivo tracking/monitoring of inflammatory responses. We are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher who willplay a central role in the generation and characterization of nanobodiesrecognizing selected markers on inflammatory myeloid cell populations.Your research will cover a wide range of techniques, includingrecombinant DNA technology, protein expression, purification andcharacterization of nanobodies on in vitro and ex vivo cells.
We offer a four year contract.
Profile
• PhD in biomedical science, biotechnology or related fields.
• Broad interest in techniques ranging from molecular biology andprotein purification to in vitro cell culture and in vivo animal models.
• Experience with the abovementioned technologies is an asset. Inparticular, experience with cell-based selection/screening of antigenbinders and/or quality-controlled production of recombinant(fusion)proteins in mammalian cells will be strong asset.
• Team player with excellent networking skills, eager and able to workwith multiple internal and external collaborators.
