Tenure-Track Fellow in Cancer Research
This tenure-track fellowship provides the opportunity for researchers with outstanding potential to establish an independent academic career in cancer research. You will have a PhD and a proven track record of research in tumour immunology, immunotherapy (using biological molecules and cells), the use of oncolytic viruses in cancer treatment or a complementary area of academic research.
The post is available immediately for a period of five years with the expectation of progressing to an established academic post subject to meeting probationary targets.
You will have an excellent research track record plus the vision and drive to develop a prestigious research portfolio. Working collaboratively with highly acclaimed scientists and clinicians across a number of disciplines, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of translational research at Leeds.
The post will be held in the Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine (LIMM), a research Institute dedicated to defining the molecules involved in human diseases and using this knowledge to develop novel therapies and new drugs. This post is funded by the Biomedical and Health Research Centre, a strategic partnership between four science faculties of the University of Leeds and the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, which promotes multidisciplinary translational research across the University and NHS.
