Description

A post-doctoral position is available in the lab or Dr. Arany, at the BIDMC, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, in Boston Massachusetts. The lab investigates the gene regulatory mechanisms underlying metabolic pathways in cardiovascular health and disease, with a significant focus on the relationship between metabolism and angiogenesis (Arany et.al., Nature 2008; 451: 1008-12). The lab engages a number of multi-disciplinary modalities, including cellular and molecular biology, genomics and metabolomics, and genetically-engineered mouse models. Recent publications and detailed description of the lab can be found at our web site www.aranylab.org. A number of projects are available, spanning molecular biology to mouse physiology.

Applicants should have an MD or PhD in Biological Sciences, or related field. Candidates must have a strong publication record, ability to work independently, a strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a dynamic team. Experience in one or more of the following areas will be favored: models of endothelial dysfunction, models of angiogenesis, mouse models of heart failure, and/or bioinformatics.
