POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION (E13 TV-L)
in cellular and systems neuroscience (starting 01-2014 until 31-12-2016) You are invited to join a collaborative research effort focusing on the mechanisms of anxiety-related behavior (http://physiologie1.klinikum.uni-muenster.de). We study synaptic interactions in the amygdala and connected pathways related to conditioned fear using electrophysiological and optogenetic techniques in mice in vitro and in vivo.
The ideal candidate will hold an above-average PhD or MD in a relevant subject, and has already shown a strong motivation for basic science. Prior experimental experience in electrophysiology, cell biology or behavioral studies would be highly valuable.
