The Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research (IMCAR, director: Prof. Christian Weber, http://www.imcar.rwth-aachen.de) at the RWTH Aachen University (Medical Faculty) is dedicated to the field of vascular biology and atherosclerosis. A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available starting from October 2010 to study the role of microRNAs in mouse models of atherosclerosis in the laboratory of Dr. Andreas Schober. The project will involve studies in transgenic mice focussing on the microRNA target identification. Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, bioinformatics and animal model systems are highly desirable. Applicants should have or anticipate a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent).
