One post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang at Thomas Jefferson University. The research focuses on elucidation of mechanisms underlying Parkinson’s disease and schizophrenia at the molecular, cellular and circuit level. The lab is equipped with cutting-edge equipment including a 2-photon microscope.
Motivated applicants with a recent Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field are encouraged to apply. Experience in slice electrophysiology (patch clamp preferred), 2-photon imaging, and/or optogenetics is required. Candidates should also have at least one first author paper published or accepted in a peer-reviewed journal.The successful candidates will be responsible for independent design and execution of experiments as well as data analysis, interpretation and communication of results.
