£30,728 to £36,661 per annum
A Senior Post Doctoral Researcher is sought to work on a three-year, NERC-funded project in a team supervised by Professors Andrew Bourke and Tamas Dalmay. The aim of the project is to profile gene expression differences between reproductive and non-reproductive workers and to test the influential reproductive ground plan hypothesis in the bumble bee Bombus terrestris. Approaches will include experimental manipulations of colonies in the laboratory and field, transcriptomics, qRT-PCR and bioinformatics.
You must have a PhD in a relevant field and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. This fixed-term, full-time post is available for up to 36 months from 1 June 2014.
