Job Description Overview:
Two year postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Professor Angelika Niemz to work on NIH funded projects related to rapid near patience nucleic acid testing for TB, hospital acquired infections, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize isothermal nucleic acid amplification assays
Develop and optimize methods for reagent stabilization
Working with a team of engineers, implement these assays in a novel device
Validate assay and device performance using clinical samples
Education:
PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related areas.
Experience:
Prior relevant research experience in academic or industry.
