A postdoctoral scholarship is offered by the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) Sainte-Justine Research Center in partnership with the Mentor-Canadian Institutes of Health Research Training Program in Musculoskeletal Health. The CHU Sainte-Justine, affiliated with the University of Montreal, is the largest mother-child health center in Canada and one of the four major pediatric centers in North America.
The CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center musculoskeletal disease research team is a worldwide authority in the field of spinal deformity. Sainte-Justine aims to become one of the five reference centers in North America in the global care of children and adolescents suffering from this disorder.
The research team excells in everything from prevention to detection and investigation to the development of less invasive treatments. The team possesses significant expertise in various research fields including molecular biology, genetics of musculoskeletal diseases, biomechanics and biomedical engineering, diagnosis, development of therapeutic tools and readaptation.
Scholarship Details
This scholarship will help recruit a highly qualified postdoctoral fellow. The successful applicant will receive an annual scholarship of $50,000 for three years along with an operating grant of $15,000 total, available the first year.

Eligibility
This competition is open to all Canadian or foreign citizens who have training in an appropriate scientific field and who received their Ph.D. after December 31, 2008.
Applicants must be accepted by the Faculté des études supérieures et postdoctorales of the Université de Montréal as postdoctoral fellows. Applicants holding an M.D. must also hold a Master’s and/or a Ph.D. Doctoral graduates of the University of Montreal are not eligible for this award.
Participants must obtain prior approval from the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center before submitting their applications. The research project must be related to musculoskeletal diseases.
