Description:
We are looking for 2 PhD students. We use cell culture, immuno-labeling, molecular engineering, animal models (knockout and mutant mice) and patch clamp techniques to study the roles of gap junctions in the heart and brain, especially heart and CNS disease linked gap junction mutants. We are also interested in studying structure-function relationship of gap junction channels in lens, neuronal and skin specific connexins.
