DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.      Rolesand Responsibility
1.1   Coordinates daily bookings within the Operating Room and workseffectively with case manager and physician to resolve schedulingdiscrepancies based on the booking rules.
1.2   Coordinates with specialty case managers and other team members tohandle the cancelling or adjusting clinical schedule, and cater forspecial request of equipment or medical imaging
1.3   Collaborates with respective outpatient case manager and nursingteam to have a preoperative verification to ensure the readiness ofsurgery based on clinical requirement and hospital policy.
1.4   Manage all surgical documents on the surgery day and performproper hand over with MRO personally for medical record safety.
1.5   Receives and routes incoming telephone calls. Answers thetelephone and routes incoming calls to appropriate employee in acourteous and professional manner.
1.6   Maintains a complete and accurate message log to ensureappropriate conveying of messages.
1.7   Receives and guides OR visitors to the correct room after properregistration by complying the visiting policy.
1.8    Carries out postoperative charging process for high valuableconsumables if in needs.
1.9    Attends OR morning huddle and nursing group meetings as requiredor directed.
1.10 Complies with health and safety requirements with regulatory agencies.
1.11 Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
1.12 Complies with patient confidentiality according to hospital policy.
1.13 Enhances professional growth and development through educationalprograms, seminars, etc.
1.14 Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
1.15 Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is required.
 
2.      EXPERIENCES,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
2.1 Highly organized and detail-oriented, skilled in managing largeamounts of information  
2.2 Being capable of working independent but also offer excellentinterpersonal and communication skills when dealing with patients, whichis frequent.
2.3 Being adaptable and able to respond quickly and adequately toconstant change.
2.4 Demonstrating knowledge of scheduling, including the knowledge ofdifferent level of surgery with priority.
2.5 Showing proficiency in basic computer programs.
2.6 Experience using computerized surgery scheduling systems (ORIS).
2.7   Knowledge of EMR and ICD-10
2.8   Knowledge of variety of software products such as Microsoft Word,Outlook, etc.
2.9   Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
2.10 Excelling organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
2.11 Functions independently and sets priorities according to proceduredate and health system requirements
3.      Clinical assistant ability

communications.
