The psychologist/counselor will be responsible for providingcomprehensive psychological care, counseling services, and emotionalsupport to international patients and their families in an internationalhospital in Beijing. This individual will work closely with physicians,nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-focusedcare and promote overall wellbeing.
The psychologist/counselor will play a vital role in supportinginternational patients and their families in a time of need. They willprovide compassionate, professional care and promote mental andemotional well-being in a unique and dynamic environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Provide psychological evaluations, assessments, and treatment plansfor patients and families experiencing emotional distress, anxiety,depression, and other mental health challenges. 2) Offer counseling and therapy services to patients and their familiesto help them cope with emotional issues and improve their quality of life. 3) Develop and implement strategies to support patients in adapting tocultural differences and adjusting to life in a new country. 4) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holisticapproach to care. 5) Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans,and progress notes. 6) Educate patients and their families on mental health and wellbeing topics. 7) Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations. 8) Participate in staff meetings, training, and other hospital events asrequired. Delivering lecture and seminar when needed. 9) Create patient and staff education programs focusing on issuesrelated to mental health and Wellbeing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 1) Master’s or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselingfrom an accredited institution. 2) At least 3-5 years of experience working as a psychologist orcounselor in a hospital or clinical setting. 3) Credentials and licenses to practice in China. 4) Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus. 5) Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. 6) Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 7) Flexibility to work in a 24-hour hospital environment. 8) Knowledge and appreciation of diverse cultural backgrounds.
