Role Summary/Purpose: Essential Responsibilities: Define detailed product performancespecifications for new products. Serve a leadership role with R&D teams to ensure that new productsreflect key of the intended value proposition. Acquire and assesses customer feedback to determine current satisfactionlevels and future product needs/trends. Play a key role in targeting and cultivating key customer and opinionleader relationships. Lead efforts to achieve annual goals of unit sales volume for productline. Develop strategic plans that articulate product life cycles, nextgeneration products, and marketing timing and anticipated competitivepositions. Develop pricing strategies and marketing initiatives that maximizecompany profitability, customer satisfaction, and market penetration. Ensure distribution channels are supported with appropriate sellingtools and of collateral describing product features, benefits, proof ofperformance, competitive comparisons, and financial benefits to thecustomer. Develop and supports annual operating plans and budgets associated withthe product line. Assume responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the productacross all functional areas. Establishes and maintains a high level of visibility through publicrelations, technical societies and relevant regulatory agencies Qualifications/Requirements: BS Degree in Marketing or Science. 5 plus years experience managing technical products in related markets. Superior communication and business skills. Must have strong technical writing abilities. In depth knowledge of both the technologies and the markets for assignedbusiness segment. Ability to articulate strategy and market impact of responsible productsto customers, field organization, and product entities. Must be able to communicate effectively on technical, product, andmanagement issues at all levels. Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully lead, motivate andinfluence others. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions including variouscost benefit tradeoffs projections, etc.
