Medical technologists conduct medical laboratory tests, experiments andanalyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention ofdisease. Under technical supervision performs a wide range of proceduresin all general areas of the medical laboratory including chemistry,serology, and microbiology procedures; and does related works as required.
B. Key Responsibilities
Receives specimens from laboratory or obtains specimens directly frompatients and makes quantitative and qualitative analysis.Preparesstains, reagents, media and solutions necessary for the performance ofall laboratory tests.Conduct analyses of blood, urine, cerebrospinal andother body fluids to determine their relation to various physiologicaland pathological conditionsCultivates, isolates, and identifiespathogenic bacteria, parasites and other micro-organisms. Maintain thelab equipment and trouble-shooting. Clean and decontaminate labdevices.Performs and verifies internal quality control procedures anddocuments discrepancies. Perform test calibration and document the calibration.
· Conduct regular proficiency testing.
Prepare and process referral lab results.Establish procedures for theanalysis of specimens and for medical laboratory experiments Collectpaternity DNA specimen for contracted Embassy Perform drug abuse urine(DAU) test and breathe alcohol test for contracted company. Dispose oflaboratory waste properly in compliance with international and localguideline.May supervise and train other medical laboratory technician ortechnologists and other medical laboratory workers;
· Assist and consults with medical staff regarding ordering and resultsof laboratory tests. · Assist with laboratory inspections for accreditation; prepare recordsand reports associated with the functioning and accreditation of the lab. · Continuous Quality Improvement/Quality Analysis. · Maintain monthly reports for review with the laboratory supervisor or manager. · Assist in writing and revising policies and procedures as needed;revise lab procedure manual as needed. · Develop and introduce new test procedures when appropriate. · Participate in clinic and staff conferences (including caseconferences or other medical presentations). · Other duties or projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist （检验师）by anationally recognized board/agency (required).
· Basic oral, listening ,speaking ,written skill in English
