Responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, and administer the activities of the Medical Records; Services department engaged in the analysis, compilation, retrieval,indexing, scanning and filing of patient permanent medical records, thepreparation of related statistical report, and release of healthinformation to authorized personal and agencies.
• Plan, develop, and coordinate a system of medical record to attaininstitutional goals and meet standards of accrediting agencies. • Evaluate and revise charts analysis to ensure appropriateness ofinformation. • Maintain liaison with medical staff and other personnel to ensureeffective operation of the Medical Record system; help develop systemsand methods involving any phase of medical record usage in clinic andhospital. • Develop and implement new departmental policies and procedures andensure compliance with established standards; serve as primary liaisonwith clinic personnel to interpret such directives. • Supervise the preparation of a variety of report and analysis. • Participate in a variety of Medical Records orientation activities. • Supervise the maintenance, retrieval, and referral of all medicalrecords. • Develop and implement a departmental quality assurance program. • Review records for accuracy and completeness and ensure complianceswith established regulatory requirements. • Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases.
Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree of Archives Management/Health Information management; • Related working experience preferred • Medical or Nursing training background preferred • Minimum two years supervisory experience with medical record, or otheranalytical positions.

Knowledge: • Prefer knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 Coding process; • Basic knowledge of current international and domesticlaws/regulations/policies regarding privacy and confidentiality ofhealth information; and medical record management; • Complete knowledge of any equipment used in Medical Record Department; • Overall knowledge of operation of medical record; • Basic knowledge of overall operation of clinic and hospital.
