Description Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in two recentlyfunded laboratories at Shands Cancer Center, University of FloridaCollege of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. The laboratories arelocated in the Cancer & Genetics Research complex, a newstate-of-art building providing all the necessary shared equipment andcentralized research facilities.
The researches aim to understand the epigenetic regulation of thetranscription of genes which are important for hematopoiesis andleukemogenesis. In specifically, Dr. Huang's research is mainly focus onstudying the mechanism underlying the aberrant activation of TAL1/SCLtranscription and how coregulators are involved in regulating SCLfunction in normal and malignant hematopoiesis. Dr. Qiu's lab isinvestigating the role of histone deacetylases in GATA-1 mediatedhematopoietic cell proliferation and differentiation (Molecular cell(2006) 22:1-11).
