Postdoctoral Scholar Positions in Bioengineering and Microfluidics
Postdoctoral positions are available at the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of California, Irvine to develop novel bioengineered tools for studying the stem cell fate/functions and for cancer diagnosis and point-of-care applications. Highly motivated candidates with a recent Ph.D. or an equivalent degree from a biomedical engineering, materials science or chemistry background with experiences in microfluidics, point-of-care devices, imaging and sensing, cell surface engineering, nucleic acid aptamers and RNAi, drug delivery or nanomaterials are invited to apply. The laboratory is located in the new Stem Cell Center building and equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities. Successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary and collaborative team working with biologists and clinicians to develop next generation tools to address unmet challenges in stem cell therapy and cancer diagnosis. Successful candidates will enjoy both cutting-edge research and beautiful southern California.
