Job Description This post-doctoral research fellow in the Division of Rheumatology will provide support on National Institutes of Health and corporate funded research. This position provides support for a supervised research career development experience in the fields of rheumatology and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research. The candidate will work with faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at Tufts Medical Center on the NIH funded Tai Chi clinical trials and other Complementary and Alternative Medicine research as well as plan, direct, and execute career development activities. This position is hired through a competitive award process, with applicants required to submit curriculum vitae, personal statements, professional references, and complete an extensive interviewing procedure. We are seeking candidates who are self motivated and career-oriented to join an exciting and highly interactive CAM research team. Responsibilities: •Will work with faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at Tufts Medical Center to work on the NIH funded clinical trials and other Complementary and Alternative Medicine research work. •Will work with faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at Tufts Medical Center/ Tufts University School of medicine to plan, direct, and execute career development activities. Will perform other job duties as required or requested by department Requirements: •MD or PhD or other equivalent doctoral degree. •Prior experience in clinical/health services and exercise research preferred. •Must have an interest and aptitude in the study and evaluation of Complementary and Alternative Medicine research work. The ability to independently take responsibility over his/her own project, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills, are required as well as reliability, attention to detail and effective time management. Motivation to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment is fundamental to this position. Good communication and presentation skills and fluency in English are expected.
